What Is Ask.com?

Ask.com is a world-class Q&A focused search engine with more than 100 million users globally. It powers the search experience across all AddOnReviews toolbars.

Ask.com—originally known as Ask Jeeves—was founded in 1996 in Berkeley, California. Originally, “Jeeves” acted like a personal valet, fetching answers to any question asked. Users could pose questions to the search engine in everyday, natural language.

Currently, Ask.com functions in a similar way. Users can still ask questions in normal language, or they can also use traditional keyword searched (similar to a Google query). Ask.com also had added support for math, dictionary, and conversion questions.
